Volunteer Fire Department
The Townsend Area Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1979 to provide protection for the City of Townsend and surrounding area. The fire department is staffed by trained volunteers who are ready to respond to fire, medical, rescue, and other emergencies when needed.
